What Happens After You Place Your Order
So, you’ve placed an online printing order with Smartpress – yay! But now what? You may be wondering what happens after you place your order. As a customer-focused online printer, we want your order process to be as smooth as possible from placement to shipment. Here’s what you can expect (and what you have to do):
- If you haven’t uploaded your print-ready file, do so as soon as you’re ready.
- If proofing is needed, a prepress technician will proof your design file.
- If changes are needed, we’ll email you what needs to be done via your Activity Log.
- You are responsible for making these changes. If you need assistance, the design experts on our Layout Services team can help you for an additional fee.
- Once all the necessary changes have been made and you’ve uploaded the new file, we’ll post a proof for your review and approval.
- If you have more than one product in your order, each one will need to be approved individually.
- Once you approve your file(s), your project goes to print and you’ll be notified of an estimated ship date.
- We’ll then notify you when your job ships.
- Important Activity Log reminders:
- Throughout the process, your Activity Log is the best way to communicate with us regarding your order.
- Changes in quantity, job specifications, shipping address, etc. should be submitted through the Activity Log.
- Do not reply to Activity Log emails, as they’re not monitored. Instead, log in to your Smartpress account, and find your Activity Log.
- Each order will have one Activity Log thread, even if there are multiple products in it.
- If you place another order, that order will have its own Activity Log thread.
