What sizes are available for decal printing?

You can create custom decals in a variety of sizes and shapes. When you enter your desired dimensions in the Finished Size fields on the product page, a notification will alert you if they are outside our parameters. In that case, you can request a Custom Quote.

Cut Type Specifications:

• Cut-to-Size (Die Cut): Enter the finished size of your decal.
• Peel-Off from Liner (Kiss Cut): Enter the finished size of your decal.
• Sheet: Single Design: Enter the finished size of your decal.
• Sheet: Multiple Designs: Enter the finished size of your sheet of decals.

Note: If you wish the printing on your job to “bleed” off the edge of the page, you will need to make the page size larger than your final document size and include crop and bleed. Learn more: Bleed & Borders

What decal stock is available? Are there removable and permanent options?

Yes. Decal printing is available on a variety of permanent and removable stocks. Choose the stock based on your application and the type of surface where the decal will be used.

• Crack ‘n’ Peel – 60# Matte White
  • Permanent stock and crack ‘n’ peel backing allows for easy peeling and workability.
  • Great for branding and logos.

• White / Clear Polypropylene – Permanent
  • Permanent stock with low-tack adhesive that’s intended for one-time use.
  • Top-coated smooth flexible polypropylene.
  • Applicable to textured and non-textured materials and will not damage the surface.
  • Great for beauty products and safety information that you don’t want removed.

• White / Clear Polypropylene – Removable
  • Removable stock that’s repositionable but intended for one-time use.
  • Removable even from paper.
  • Top-coated smooth flexible polypropylene.
  • Low-tack and moisture-resistant, with good chemical resistance.
  • Applicable to non-textured surfaces, such as glass, painted metal and stainless steel.
  • Great for clear jars, mason jars, bottles, laptops, notebooks and more.

Do the decals come on sheets or rolls?

Decals are printed on sheets, not rolls.

Is there perforation between each decal?

No. Decals do not have perforation between each piece. If you’d like to add perforation between each decal, please request a Custom Quote.

What do the different decal printing ink choices mean?

Decal printing is available with several ink options, depending on the look and color coverage you need:

• Black Only – For designs with no color.
• Full Color – For designs with a wide range of colors.
• Full Color + Spot White – If you want a white layer of ink printed in designated areas of your full color design.
• White Only – If you do not want any color (or black) within your design.

What decal shapes can you make?

With digital laser cutting, you can create decals in a variety of shapes and sizes. Select your preference in the Shape and Cut Type dropdowns on the product page. Options include:

• Cut-to-Size (Die Cut): A single decal die cut to the shape you’ve specified (circle, oval, square, rectangle or custom).
• Peel-Off from Liner (Kiss Cut): A single decal cut on the dieline with an additional die cut about 1/4” around to allow for easier removal from the decal liner.
• Sheet – Single Design: This cut gives you multiple decals per sheet with one cutting design or shape.
• Sheet – Multiple Designs: This cut gives you multiple decals per sheet with different designs/shapes. (Only available when ‘Custom’ is selected in the Shape dropdown.)

Can I create multiple decals in the same order?

Yes. With our Versions feature, you can print multiple decal designs in the same order. Your decals must be the same size, stock and finish, but the designs and content can change as much as you like. Learn more: Versions

Can you print variable data?

Yes. Variable data printing lets you create personalized decals with barcodes, QR codes, names, customer IDs and more. Learn more: Variable Data Printing

What surfaces will my decals adhere to?

Decal adhesion varies based on the stock you choose. In general, decals adhere best to smooth, hard surfaces.

Can you add coating to decal printing?

Yes. You can add ultra gloss UV or flat matte coatings to all decal stocks except crack ‘n’ peel. Learn more: UV Coating, Coating vs. Laminate

Do you have water-resistant options?

Yes. Adding a UV coating to decal printing creates a water-resistant barrier, but it does not make decals fully waterproof. UV coating is available on all stocks except crack ‘n’ peel.
