What’s the difference between Business Cards and Premium Business Cards?

Our Business Cards and Premium Business Cards are similar but Premium Business Cards offer even more ways to customize, including a wider variety of paper stocks and ink choices.

What’s the standard business card size?

The standard business card size is 3-1/2″W x 2”H. This is the finished size. Be sure to consider bleed as you design your Business Cards with our predetermined sizes or custom dimensions. Learn more: Bleed & Borders

What’s a typical order quantity?

For business card printing, the minimum order quantity is 50. People typically begin with 250 or 500 business cards, depending on their profession, industry and how they plan to use them.

Does my business card design have to be horizontal?

No. Online printing lets you design your business card with a vertical or horizontal orientation.

What paper stocks and weights are available?

Business cards are available in a variety of paper stocks, including coated, uncoated and recycled. We offer them in cover weights, where the larger the number, the heavier the paper. What’s the best logo size? If I don’t have a logo, can you design one for me?

You can design unique business cards with logos as small or large as you like. If your design includes a logo that’s partially cut off, remember to include a 1/8″ bleed. Learn more: Bleed & Borders

Can I print double-sided business cards?

Yes. Just use the Printing on the Front and Printing on the Back dropdowns on the product page.

What do the different ink choices mean?

As a premium online printer, we offer a variety of ink choices. We recommend:

  • Black Only – For designs with no color.
  • Full Color – For designs with a wide range of colors.
  • Full Color + Spot White – If you want a white layer of ink printed in designated areas of your full color design. (Offered on Premium Business Cards only.)
  • White Only – If you do not want any color (or black) within your design. (Offered on Premium Business Cards only.)

What coatings and laminates are available?

Will I get a proof for my business cards?

Yes. A digital PDF soft proof will be available for your review within one business day after we receive your file upload. You’ll be able to review the project’s content, format and more and make any changes before it’s printed. Learn more: Proofs

What’s the difference between simple and complex digital laser cutting?

Choose simple die cutting for shapes like circles, ovals, squares and rectangles. Choose complex die cutting for any shapes or cuts more intricate than that.

Business cards also offer variable finishing, which allows you to personalize them with laser cut names or other information, along with your simple or complex cuts.

Can I create business cards with different logos and designs in the same order?

Yes. With our Versions feature, you can print various designs to differ content on multiple business cards. For this online printing service, the designs can change but your cards must be the same size, stock and finish. Learn more: Versions
