Label Printing - Example

What sizes are available?

You can design custom Labels for online printing in our predetermined sizes or use custom dimensions. When you enter your desired dimensions in the Finished Size fields on the product page, a notification will alert you if they are outside our parameters. In that case, you can request a Custom Quote.

What label stock is available? Are there removable and permanent options?

You can print your own labels on a variety of removable and permanent stocks:

  • Crack ‘n’ Peel – 60# Matte White
    • Permanent stock and crack ‘n’ peel backing allows for easy peeling and workability.
    • Great for packaging, branding, business collateral and writing on (names, envelopes and addressing).
  • White / Clear Polypropylene – Permanent
    • Removable stock with low-tack adhesive that’s intended for one-time use.
    • Applicable to textured and non-textured materials and will not damage the surface.
    • Great for retail product labels that show details and information.
  • White / Clear Polypropylene – Removable
    • Permanent stock that’s repositionable.
    • Applicable to non-textured surfaces, such as glass, painted metal and stainless steel.
    • Great for safety labels.
  • White / Clear Vinyl – Removable
    • Removable adhesive on flexible vinyl with 4mil thickness.
    • Split liner allows for easy peeling.
    • Not safe to digital laser cut.

Does label printing come on sheets or rolls?

Labels are printed on sheets. If you’d like labels on a roll, check out our Roll Labels.

Is there perforation between each label?

No. If you’d like to add perforation between each label, please request a Custom Quote.

What do the different label printing ink choices mean?

As a premium online printer, we offer a variety of ink choices for label printing:

  • Black Only – For designs with no color
  • Full Color – For designs with a wide range of colors
  • Full Color + Spot White – If you want a white layer of ink printed in designated areas of your full color design
  • White Only – If you do not want any color (or black) within your design

What label shapes can you make?

With digital laser cutting, you can print labels in any shape and size. Just select your preference in the Digital Laser Cutting dropdown on the product page. Options include:

  • Die Cut Single – This cut is a single label cut on the die line.
  • Kiss Cut Single – A single label cut on the die line with an additional die cut about 1/4” around to allow for easier removal from the label liner.
  • Kiss Cut Sheet – This cut gives you multiple labels per sheet with one cutting design.
  • Combo Sheet – This cut results in multiple designs with a kiss cut on one sheet.

Can I write on my labels?

Yes. You can write on crack ‘n’ peel labels with a pen and our polypropylene labels with a permanent marker.

Can you print on the back of labels? On the liner?

No, we cannot print on the back of labels or the liner.

Can you help with my label printing design?

Can I create multiple labels in the same order?

Yes. With our Versions feature, you can print various designs to differ content on multiple labels (like products labels and packaging labels). Our online printing services require your labels be the same size, stock and finish but your designs and content can change as much as you like. Learn more: Versions

Can you print variable data?

Yes. With variable data printing, you can customize your labels with barcodes, QR codes, names, customer IDs and more. Learn more: Variable Data Printing

Will my labels adhere to everything?

This will vary based on the label stock you choose. Labels adhere best to smooth, hard surfaces.

Can you add coating to the labels?

Yes. We offer flat matte and ultra gloss UV coatings on all label stocks except crack ‘n’ peel. Learn more: UV Coating, Coating vs. Laminate

Do you have water-resistant options?

You can add a UV coating to labels to create a water-resistant barrier, but that will not make your labels fully waterproof. UV coating is available on all stocks except crack ‘n’ peel.

Are there special requirements for food labels or cosmetic labels?

Roll Label Printing

What sizes are available?

You can design custom roll labels for online printing in our predetermined sizes. Just choose one from the dropdown on the product page.

What label stock is available? Are there removable and permanent options?

You can print your own labels on white, clear or silver permanent polypropylene stock. While this flexible stock is permanent, it is also repositionable and will retain stickiness when moved from surface to surface. It can be applied to textured and non-textured materials and without damaging the surface.

How many labels fit on a roll?

This will depend on the size of your label. We can accommodate between 100-5,000 labels on one roll.

Can I have multiple designs on one roll?

No, we can print only one label design on each roll.

What’s the roll diameter?

Each roll has a 3” diameter.

Is there perforation between each label?

No. If you’d like to add perforation between each label, please request a Custom Quote.

Can the labels come on sheets?

While Roll Labels are printed on rolls, check out our Labels that print on a sheet.

The unwind or rewind direction is crucial for roll labels that are applied by a machine. It refers to the orientation of the labels on the liner. The machine will designate how to correctly load the roll with the necessary orientation.

Can you add coating to the labels?

Do you have water-resistant label printing options?
