FAQs

For mailing, does my magazine need to be a specific size?

For mailing at Letter rates, your custom magazines must be rectangular and have a minimum height of 4-3/4" and a minimum width of 4-3/4" (the length is the measurement of the side parallel to the address).

To be eligible for Letter rates, all finished folds must fall within the standard postal aspect ratio (the length divided by the height must equal less than 1.3). If your magazine falls outside of these parameters, additional postage will be required.

How do I arrange pages for magazine printing?

For your custom magazines, please provide one file that includes your cover and interior pages. We request that the file be sent as single pages, in one multi-page PDF. Please include the pages in this order:

Outside front cover, inside front cover, page one, two, three, etc., inside back cover, outside back cover.

It’s very important to provide the interior pages in the order they’ll be read.

Note: Uploading a single-page PDF file does not mean uploading one PDF for each page. It means all the pages in your PDF file should be single pages, not spreads.

Are there design guidelines for my magazine’s address field?

Yes. The address, return address and postage placement should read parallel with the longest edge of the magazine. If a return address is included, it must be located 1/4” from the top left side of the magazine. The top of the mailing address cannot be placed higher than 2-3/4” from the bottom of the magazine.
