From Production to Protection: Printing Essential Safety Products
During this time of uncertainty, Smartpress is proud to be a reliable source of essential print materials… and now essential safety products like personal protective equipment for those who need it most. Along with our parent company, The Bernard Group, we’re converting our production process to help protect those in our community and across the nation from the spread of COVID-19. Here’s how:
Face Shields for the Front Lines
One of the newest ways we’re pivoting our online printing production is by manufacturing face shields with the PETG material normally used to make our Clear Signs. Reusable and easy to clean, these oversized shields provide healthcare and medical professionals facial protection and feature an adjustable headband that reduces interference with other personal protective equipment.
We know essential workers’ daily efforts are anything but comfortable, so we’ve taken extra steps to ensure the headband distributes weight evenly, reducing facial fatigue and bruising. The shield even conveniently flips up and down with just one hand.
Everyday Essentials
For weeks now, we’ve taken quick action to print and produce marketing materials for the safety and awareness of our community. As a world-class online printer, we’ve printed essential safety products like signage depicting new store hours and services, as well as retail floor graphics that promote social distancing.
Safety handbooks for healthcare providers, product manuals for medical devices and treatment forms for hospice centers… we’re supporting the critical sectors that need print materials for their employees and customers.
And beyond print, we’ve even created free-standing acrylic barriers that offer facial protection at checkout counters. In these critical, unprecedented times, we’re proud to offer our online printing services and collaborate with our customers to promote the safety and well-being of our community.
