Mini Calendars: Annual Print Projects Capture Nature’s Beauty

Mother-son duo captures the majestic beauty of the Pacific Northwest in their stunning custom calendars. Photographer Linda Lantzy and her son, Kyle, a graphic designer, are in their seventh year of producing mini calendars sold in many state park gift shops and stores across Idaho.

Linda’s Inspiration

Lantzy was born and raised in northern Idaho and uses the stunning landscapes that surround her as her primary backdrop. Her breathtaking images of the Pacific Northwest reflect the beauty of the scenery that continues to drive her photographic art and online printing projects.

Kyle’s Design

Lantzy’s son Kyle, who runs KDLdesign, created the layout of the mini calendar with Smartpress’ Saddle Stitch Calendars. He continues to design many projects for Linda, including the logos for her website. “I’m very pleased with his work,” Lantzy said, adding that the calendar “just gets better every year.”

Finishing Options

Lantzy chose Soft Touch laminate for the calendar cover, giving it a velvety smooth feel that still protects the pages, instead of traditional UV coatings. As a premium online printer, Smartpress offers a variety of calendar printing options, but Lantzy’s saddle stitch binding decision was a practical one. Lantzy ships some of the calendars, and the saddle stitch binding works well for mailing in envelopes, making distribution a breeze.
