Use a multi-purpose cleaner to thoroughly clean the surface free of any dirt, dust, grease or other debris that may affect the adhesion process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Smartpress Tip:<\/em><\/strong> Do a final wipe down with water and a lint-free cloth to clear any other matter or chemicals from the cleaners that could also affect adhesion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have access to Iso-propyl alcohol (IPA), a final wipe down with this is more favorable than water, but not necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"waypoint t-sink s-sink\" id=\"apply-your-wall-decals\">\n    \n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Install Wall Decals in 5 Simple Steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Locate Your Desired Decal Position<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With the surface of the application ready, find the center of your printed decal. Center your decal and note where the top is. Or with the top edge of the decal already in place, use a hand applicator to smooth the top edge down and out from the center. A credit\/debit card can be used for this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/smartpresssupport.imgix.net\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Screen-Shot-2021-05-05-at-11.23.41-AM.png?auto=format%2Ccompress&fit=crop&ixlib=php-3.3.0&max-h=208&max-w=198&s=40ba6d6567dedf77d19107e624f73c3d\" alt=\"A graphic of a hand applicator smoothing out a decal, floor graphic or cling.\" class=\"wp-image-27746\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We also recommend placing a piece of masking or painter\u2019s tape at the edge of the applicator to minimize the risk of scratching the decal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4: Smooth Out Any Air Bubbles<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After smoothing your decal, use a rubber roller (if you have one) and roll across it to press out any air bubbles.
